Biography

Victor L. Paquet

Victor L. Paquet, Sc.D. is an Associate Professor of Industrial & Systems Engineering at the University at Buffalo SUNY. He received his B.S. degree in Engineering Psychology from Tufts University in May, 1991, M.S. degree in Industrial & Systems Engineering as a human factors and safety engineering major from Virginia Tech in 1995, and Sc.D. degree in Work Environment from the University of Massachusetts Lowell in May 1998. Dr. Paquets occupational ergonomics work is aimed at solving ergonomics problems in electronics, appliance and automotive manufacturing plants, warehouses, office environments and construction sites. His work in anthropometry focusses on wheeled mobility device users with the goal of improving environmental accessibility. His research projects include the development of alternative methods for ergonomic job analysis at work, use of work simulation methods for the improved design of manufacturing cells, anthropometry of wheeled mobility users, and the universal design of products and environments. These activities have primarily been funded by the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH), National Institute for Disability and Rehabilitation Research (NIDRR), the United State Access Board and private industry.
