Location
The Symposium will be held in the facilities of the Austria Center Vienna (http://www.acv.at). CVD-XVII & EUROCVD-17 will include all the special features that enable participants to get to know each other in informal, relaxed settings. A special registration package is available, which includes meeting registration, conference proceedings, a banquet, luncheons, and a social excursion.
Lunches on Monday through Thursday, as well as the Thursday evening banquet, will be held in the Austria Center Vienna. The planned menus are in the file linked here.
The social excursion will be a guided bus tour on Tuesday afternoon:
Signs of the time - Historical Vienna
This is the perfect tour to get an overall impression of beautiful
Vienna. Get to know the many magnificent buildings along
Ringstrasse, such as the State Opera, Museums of Fine Arts and
Natural History, the Hofburg (Imperial Palace), Parliament, City
Hall, the Burgtheater and Votivkirche. Another highlight is a
guided tour through the wonderful stately rooms of Schönbrunn
Palace, the former summer residence of the Habsburg family. We
return via Belvedere Palace.
This tour will give participants an opportunity to see the Schönbrunn
Palace and some other places that are not as easily reached by subway as the Hofburg Palace and city center.
