Postdoctoral Fellow and Graduate Student Openings

The Neelamegham laboratory performs fundamental and applied research related to major human diseases, in the area of inflammation and cardiovascular diseases. Please see details at www.eng.buffalo.edu/~neel. We are interested in applying quantitative experimental methods and mathematical modeling to define new targets for drug development and also to better understand the pathology of vascular disorders.

We currently have open positions for students interested in pursuing Ph.D. degrees and post-doctoral fellowships. At the post-doctoral level, training in the Biomedical Sciences or Bio/Chemical Engineering is necessary. Persons with prior experience with mathematical modeling of biological or chemical systems are particularly of interest. Such individuals will be involved in developing systems biology based quantitative models for analysis of biological experimental data. All postdoctoral fellows are expected to undertake independent research under the guidance of Neelamegham. It is expected that these individuals are motivated, and that they can interface with researchers from other field including computational scientists, bioengineers and biochemists.
