- April 2007 - Trinity Fire Fighter Competition Olympiad challenge - 1st Place!
During the Trinity College Fire Fighting Home Robot Contest, we competed in the University level Olympiad challenge.

mechanical and computer engineering. Our team did very well as we came in first place.
- February 2007 - E-Week: Bot Wars - Second Place!
UBR competed in the various E - Week events this year. We did well, specifically in the bot wars competition in which one of our
battle bots won second place. This year we ran 3 robots for the competition. We designed and manufactured a completely new robot and we also made some design changes to last years robot. The third robot
was just for fun so that other clubs and spectators could have fun watching it get completely destroyed! Be sure to check out the competition pictures
to see pictures of this fun robot we named "crazy witch."
Check the Bot Wars page for design overviews.
- March 2006 - UBR Has Moved
UB Robotics has recently moved both our office and lab locations from 3rd floor Bonner Hall to
Trailer H. This is a
big change for not only now, but for the history of the club. The increase in space will allow for more active members and
will also allow for more productivity within the club. Since we have acquired a much bigger space than we previously occupied, we will also be taking on more projects for next year. Be sure to check the project page soon for updates on what exciting projects UBR has in store for Fall 2006.
- July 2005 - RoboCup World Cup - Osaka, Japan
We have just finished competing at our first RoboCup World Cup in Osaka, Japan. Unfortunately we were placed in one of the stronger round robin groups and lost against two other very experienced teams (Luckystar + ToinAlbatross).
However, we've won the "Open Challenge Award" which is a separate prize for the most technically impressive freestyle presentation. Our robots performed some synchronous driving patterns which seemed to be quite a crowd pleaser.
This RoboCup has definetely given us enough new experience to be even more successul in future years.

- May 2005 - National Champions RoboCup Small Size League (again!)
We have successfully defended our national championship in the Small Size League of the RoboCup American Open 2005!
Our new robots and software seem to have impressed a lot of people. Now it's time to improve our performance even more so we'll compete successfully at the World Cup in Osaka which will be held mid July.
