Biography

Dr. Mustafa A.G. Abushagur earned his Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering from California Institute of Technology. He is currently the director and professor of microsystems engineering at Rochester Institute of Technology. Before that he was professor of electrical and computer engineering as well as a professor of optical science and engineering at the University of Alabama in Huntsville. His current research interest includes optical communication, photonic crystals, optical fiber sensors, optical MEMS, optical signal processing and computing, scattering and diffraction theory. He has published more than hundred papers and several book chapters.
