He graduated with a B.S. and M.S. in Electrical Engineering from Arizona State University in December 1989, and June 1991 respectively. In 1991 Dr. Nehrbass worked at the ElectroScience Laboratory and received his Ph.D from The Ohio State University in December of 1996. In September of 1996 he accepted and appointment working for the Ohio SuperComputer Center as Director of Computational Electromagnetics and Acoustics in support of the Department of Defense (DoD) High Performance Computing Modernization Program (HPCMP). For 6 years he assisted all members of the DoD which required assistance with electromagnetic technology on HPC systems. On Oct. 1, 2001 Dr. Nehrbass continued his support by accepting an appointment as the Director of Computational Signal and Image Processing under the DOD HPCMP. Dr. Nehrbass's present interests include computational and theoretical advances in finite electromagnetic methods, advances in girding technologies, parallel MATLAB exploitations, and the acceleration of image processing methods on massively parallel systems.
