- Project Title: 3D Printer Reverse Engineering Project
- Project Background
Looking for engineers of all skill sets to help on a fun and exciting semester long project. The Design Studio has a Da Vinci 3D printer that is not functioning. A team of 4-5 is being assembled to attempt to fix this 3D printer using standard engineering practices. If this printer can not be reset to a working state we will then reverse engineer it and cannibalize its parts into a project of the groups liking.
Assess the state of the printer. Determine if the printer can be fixed. Attempt to fix the printer. If printer cannot be fixed cannibalize its parts for a reverse engineering project.
- Expected Deliverables
Students are expected to make use of the 3D printer provided by the Design studio in an attempt to rehabilitate it. If such path cannot be taken they must design a plan on reusing the printer and its parts.

Fall 2017 / Spring 2018. One to Two semesters long depending on the rehabilitation
