The Major/Minor Change Application is used to request one of the following changes to an academic plan.
Please note that our office processes requests only for majors and minors associated with the School of Engineering and Applied Sciences. Please contact other advising units for assistance with non-SEAS degree programs (e.g., mathematics, chemistry, physics, management, pharmacy).
The Major/Minor Change Application is not intended for the following student groups:
In order to log in to the application system you will need to have been admitted to the University at Buffalo and have received your UBIT username and password.
The recommended deadline to submit a Major/Minor Change Application for Fall 2017 is August 13, 2017 at 11:59 PM. We cannot guarantee that we will be able to process applications submitted after this date. This application will close at the end of the drop/add period.
A confirmation page will display and you will receive an email confirmation after you submit your request. If you do not see this confirmation page then your application was not successfully submitted and you must fill out the form and submit again.
Major/minor change decisions are sent electronically to your UB email address. Please check your email regularly to learn of updates regarding the status of your application.
