The Proud Father (Me)
After months of tying knots, splicing lines and all the rest
of the preparation that went into this event, I finally had it
up! Oh what a feeling! But not before a few anxious
moments like the rain and no wind in the morning, and
when the last kite went airborne the loud crack that echoed
across the field, I thought the line had broken but it
was only the bottom spreader that gave way. Without this
spreader the entire compressive force was on the bottom
kite. It held! A great testament to the quality and strength
of the Buffalo Kite Company box kites.
