IE 536: Work Physiology (Occupational Biomechanics)

Course Description

This course is designed to provide senior level undergraduate and Human Factors graduate students with introduction to several physical ergonomics areas in which they will gain working knowledge including physiology of musculoskeletal system and occupational biomechanics. In this course, students will learn about the structure and function of biomaterials (bone, muscle, tendon, ligament, cartilage, nerve tissue), physiologic capabilities of human body, bioinstrumentation, biomechanical modeling, and their application to workplace and/or product design.
