Welcome to my Personal page

Education

I graduated Valedictorian of my class from Sauquoit Valley High School in Sauquoit, NY, in 1985.

From there, I went west to Buffalo where I earned my B.S. in Electrical Engineering at the State University of New York at Buffalo (SUNY Buffalo) in 1989. I graduated Summa Cum Laude with a minor in Mathematics.

I stayed at SUNY Buffalo for my Master's Degree, and I earned a M.S. in 1991 also in Electrical Engineering. I wrote a Master's Thesis entitled Optical Pulse Compression.

I decided to stay in school, so I went to Atlanta to work on my Ph.D. at the Georgia Institute of Technology (Georgia Tech). I was in the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering where I finished in December 1996. My thesis work deals with an analog VLSI implementation of stereopsis. For more information on this see my research page.

I took a position as assistant professor at the Rochester Institute of Technology in the Electrical Engineering Department. I was there until July 2001. Currently I am an assistant professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering at the University at Buffalo, The State University of New York.
