Buffalo Museum of Science

We made our annual trip to the Buffalo Museum of Science as part of our E-Week events. We displayed some of the projects that our new members have been working on as well as some other cool things that would interest the kids. These included both our line follower project as well our BEAM robots. Additionally we had an LED array that would display a single character upon compilation of a program. The unit was then activated by an IR sensor. It was a simple demonstration for kids to see how a computer can control an electronic device as well as how things like sensors can initiate certain events. The program allowed kids to type in whatever character they wanted; this even included characters like smiley faces! Overall, the trip was a success and it was exciting to see how much the kids enjoyed the demonstrations.
