The Purpose:
To generate alternative, producing many ideas
in a short time span.
The Procedure:
1. Form groups of four or five people.
2. Identify a recording secretary.
3. Begin brainstorming the first problem on
cue from your timer.
4. Express ideas in solution to the problem
as briefly as possible.
5. Don't stop for explanations or criticism.
6. Record all ideas that are put forth.
The Rules:
1. Defer judgment
2. Freewheel - hang loose - listen.
3. Tag on to the last person's idea - make variations.
4. Don't just sit waiting for your own private
inspiration.
5. Go for quantity of ideas.
6. Despise silence, but keep responses short.
7. Don't hold back.
