Description
Select several tubes (PVC pipes) of different lengths and diameters.
 


Blow into one of the tubes that has no holes drilled in it. What sounds are produced? Are there any differences in sound produced by tubes of different length and diameter?

Repeat the above procedure pursing your lips as if you are playing a kazoo.

Select several tubes that have holes drilled along their length. Repeat the above procedures, and note the results.

Try to play a tune on a recorder. Determine the characteristics that enable it to be played more easily than one of the PVC pipes.
