Introduction Graphs and
charts enable us to communicate information visually. For this
reason, they are often used by scientists as well as by newspapers,
magazines and business around the world. Graphs and charts can
relay complicated information that would be difficult to understand
without an illustration. In a presentation, they are able both
to get a point across quickly and to provide a visual image of
numerical data. Translating data that has been gathered from a
research project into a meaningful form is a critical step in
the evaluation of whether a study provides useful information.
This is done through statistical
analysis, which allows us to analyze and interpret numerical
