BEAM Word Problems

These word problems were created back in 1985 for BEAM, Buffalo Engineering Awareness For Minorities.

They are word problems that Engineering students may encounter.

BEAM was started by Professor George C. Lee of State University of New York at Buffalo. Dr. Lee was then dean of the School of Engineering and Applied Science.

The book of problems was dedicated to the late Jim Legge, a member of the African American community in Buffalo NY who was an inspiration to BEAM. This site is dedicated to his memory.
