Future Faculty Program
The Future Faculty Program aims to prepare a selected set of doctoral students for academic careers at leading engineering schools. This is accomplished via workshops, teaching practicum and research mentoring practicum.
Graduate Poster Competition
The Graduate Research Day Poster Competition presents an opportunity for students and faculty to become more familiar with research work being performed in other areas and providing an opportunity for networking.

Senior Scholar
The purpose of the Senior Scholar Program is to encourage University at Buffalo Engineering seniors to seriously consider graduate education, especially one that involves a research component. Selected students are awarded scholarships to pursue a research experience with a faculty member in their home department.
Student Ambassador Program
The Student Ambassador Program employs current graduate students who make themselves available for questions from newly accepted graduate program applicants. This program typically operates during the Spring semester.
Student Surveys
Each year surveys are administered to newly enrolled students as well as applicants who were admitted but chose to decline enrollment. A survey is also taken of those students who are about to graduate. The surveys provide a means for identifying areas to better serve future applicants and students.
Teaching Assistant Orientation
The goal of this program is to provide a mandatory orientation for Teaching Assistants, with the objective of gaining more effective performance in the areas of student interaction, grading homework and assignments, and in teaching recitation/lab classes.
