Personal Statement

I was brought on board to the ERIE program at the start of summer 2011 to help complete administrative tasks associated with our IGERT summer workshops and summer REU program. I also help manage lab space, perform research under Dr. Blersch originally started in conjunction with the REU program, and do website management. I am a native Buffalonian and try to stay actively involved in the local community by volunteering my time at local events and organizations such as the Buffalo Heart Walk and GrowWNY.

I am interested in studying the chemical/ecological energy pathways that accompany renewable energies and emerging, sustainable living practices and how these relate to pollution and ecosystem degradation. I am also interested in the socio-economic and psychological aspects of adopting sustainable technology and practices and how this differs between developed and developing societies.
