The Engineering Career Institute (ECI) provides career effectiveness skills as well as a summer of professional work experience to post-junior-year engineering students.

Work assignments are paid and last 12 weeks (from mid May to the first week of August). The work period can be extended by student and employer agreement. ECI students thus receive full-time, challenging work experience without extending their time to complete the B.S. degree.
