Robert P. Apmann Memorial Awards (CSEE)

The awards are given in memory of Robert P. Apmann who was a faculty member in water resources and environmental engineering at the time of his death. The awards are made possible by the income from an endowment created by his father, Colonel Arthur M. Apmann. The endowment currently generates income of about $1,000 a year.

An award is given to an outstanding graduating senior in water resources and environmental engineering. The student is selected by the faculty from the area of environmental engineering and sciences. The selection is based on demonstrated scholastic achievement, service to other students, and leadership qualities.

In addition, the award is also sometimes given to a first year graduate student in water resources and environmental engineering. The student is selected by the faculty from the area of environmental engineering and sciences. The selection is based on demonstrated scholastic achievement, service to other students, and leadership qualities.
