The Dean’s Award for Engineering Achievement, the highest honor of the UB engineering faculty, was presented to Martin Kasbohm, director of research and development for the Linde Division.

In giving the award to Mr. Kasbohm, Dean George C. Lee paid tribute to his many management, technical, civic and professional contributions.

Mr. Kasbohm joined Union Carbide in 1952, after he graduated from Cornell University as a chemical engineer. He has served the company in a number of capacities, including manager of new ventures at corporate headquarters, manager of plant design and construction at Linde and director of process and product development. He holds 12 patents for Union Carbide.
