UB Engineering Alumni Association
The UB Engineering Alumni Association (EAA) is enjoying a successful and active 2005-2006 academic year. Our group enjoyed cheering on the Bulls at the Fall '05 tailgate party and the Spring '06 basketball event. Upcoming events include: the presentation of EAA Scholarships at the school's Scholarship Reception on March 31, 2006 and the awarding of Engineer of the Year at a ceremony in April. The UB Alumni Association (UBAA) will covene the Pillars Society, a distinguished group of UB graduates of 50 or more years ago, in June this year. We hope you will be able to join us at a future event.

Central to the activities we have planned is the necessity of the group to earn income through membership dues. We are very pleased to have entered into joint membership with the UB Alumni Association. This will allow EAA to continue to program its many events for UB Engineering alumni and current students. In addition, joint membership gives EAA members access to the UBAA and its comprehensive program of outreach to UB alumni throughout the nation and world. UBAA has chapters throughout the U.S. and several international chapters. They are active in bringing current students together with alumni for professional mentoring. They also have an outstanding program to recognize leading alumni, The UB Alumni Association Achievement Awards, an event that honored three outstanding engineering alumni last year. EAA is excited about the new opportunities we will have to work with UBAA to continue and expand our tradition of excellence in alumni programming.
